SBS’s upcoming drama “The Killing Vote” has dropped an intriguing main poster!
Based on a popular Kakao webtoon, “The Killing Vote” asks the question “What is your idea of justice?” and delves into the concept of a nationwide death penalty vote against vicious criminals who deftly manage to escape the law’s blind spots. The drama highlights the story of a mysterious figure known as “Gae Tal” (dog mask), who executes the death penalty depending on the results of a vote, and the police who are pursuing them.
The newly released poster features the emotionless facial expressions of the nine characters who are involved in the death penalty vote. At the center of the poster is Gae Tal along with the text in red that reads, “Would you like to participate in the vote?” Around Gae Tal are the three main characters Kwon Suk Joo (Park Sung Woong), Joo Hyun (Lim Ji Yeon), and Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin).
On each side of Joo Hyun are Joo Hyun’s younger sister Joo Min (Kwon Ah Reum), a high school student aspiring to become a journalist, and Joo Min’s friend Kim Ji Hoon (Seo Young Joo).
Then, on the bottom row, there are Chae Do Hee (Choi Yu Hwa), a passionate journalist turned show host, Min Ji Young (Kim Yoo Mi), a member of the National Assembly who holds great power, and Lee Min Soo (Kim Kwon), a high school teacher who shows great interest in the death penalty vote.
The eight people, who appear to have no connection with each other at first glance, raise viewers’ curiosity as to why they are on the poster and how they are related to the death penalty vote.
“The Killing Vote” premieres on August 10 at 9 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
