aespa’s “MY WORLD” is still going strong on the Billboard charts!
Earlier this month, aespa became the fastest K-pop girl group in history to land two albums in the top 10 of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart (commonly referred to as the Billboard 200) when “MY WORLD” debuted at No. 9.
Although aespa’s “MY WORLD” was originally released in Korea and on digital platforms back on May 8, the mini album had a delayed CD release in the United States—meaning that “MY WORLD” was only physically released stateside on June 30, though its songs have been available for download and streaming in the United States since May. As a result, the mini album’s debut on the U.S. charts came nearly two months after its initial release.
For the week ending on July 29, “MY WORLD” spent its third consecutive week on the Billboard 200 at No. 110—making it aespa’s first album ever to chart in the top 110 for three weeks.
“MY WORLD” also continued to rank high on numerous other Billboard charts: the mini album came in at No. 3 on the World Albums chart, No. 6 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, No. 7 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 11 on the Tastemaker Albums chart this week.
Additionally, aespa stayed strong at No. 50 in their ninth non-consecutive week on Billboard’s Artist 100, extending their own record as the K-pop girl group with the fourth most cumulative weeks on the chart (following TWICE, BLACKPINK, and FIFTY FIFTY).
Finally, aespa’s title track “Spicy” charted for an 11th consecutive week on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 115.
Congratulations to aespa!
