People on Instagram are undecided on their feelings about them.
TXT‘s Yeonjun posted some new photos on his Instagram recently, and somehow his feet are outdoing his face card!
Yeonjun is often considered one of the most fashion-forward K-pop idols of his generation, and rightfully so.
The rapper-singer’s personal style is irreplicable, often complimented by bold statement pieces that he carries off with his unmatched aura.
Yeonjun is also very open to androgynous fashion, which has only helped with his popularity among fashion connoisseurs.
In fact, the idol made his runway debut at the New York Fashion Week 2021 while representing the brand ul:kin.
Yeonjun’s impact as a K-Pop fashionista is undeniable, but in case anybody has their doubts, his latest Instagram post might be the end of it.
On July 5, KST, he posted a carousel of pictures showing off his funky outfit out of the streets with the caption “summer in Chicago.” The idol also tagged the account of MSCHF, the art collective best known for creating the cartoonishly large red boots that divided the internet earlier this year. While some found it quirky and fashion-forward, others outright hated them. Regardless of the opinion, those red boots were all the internet could talk about for a considerably long time.
However, Yeonjun was not sporting those boots in the pictures. Being the fashion connoisseur he is, it is expected that he would be on top of trends, not behind them. The shoes he did wear in the photos were the new yellow boots designed by MSCHF in collaboration with Crocs. The footwear still comes in a comically large size, but it is also as porous as the trademark Crocs design.
Yeonjun paired the shoes with a simple all-black ensemble — a black graphic t-shirt with a pair of oversized black trousers, complete with a black printed bandana scarf wrapped around his arms. Somehow, he managed to pull off the look even when the yellow boots were glaringly standing out from the rest of his outfit.
Some fans couldn’t look away from the shoes, calling them funny names such as “Micky Mouse shoes” and “Cheese stompers.” Others felt that the look only worked because it was Yeonjun wearing it.
Yeonjun followed up the post with another video showing the hilarious process of him getting out of the boots. The shoes had to be yanked off his legs with the help of another person as he lay exhausted on the couch at the end of it.
Trust Yeonjun to be the most fashionable yet chaotic person in the room!
