NewJeans has just made an impressive debut on the United Kingdom’s Official Albums Chart!
On July 28 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that NewJeans’ latest mini album “Get Up” had debuted at No. 15 on its Official Albums Chart.
Notably, NewJeans is only the second K-pop girl group in history to enter the Official Albums Chart, following BLACKPINK—and “Get Up” is only the third K-pop girl group album ever to make the top 15, following BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” and “BORN PINK.”
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ hit song “Super Shy” continued to climb up the Official Singles Chart for the third week in a row. The pre-releas single rose to a new peak of No. 52 in its third week on the chart, marking the group’s highest ranking yet.
Congratulations to NewJeans on their success in the United Kingdom!
