Last year, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, the Thai drama version of Yoko Kamio‘s hit manga Boys Over Flowers, premiered, starring actor “Bright” Vachirawit Chivaaree as Thyme and actress “Tu” Tontawan Tantivejakul as Gorya.
While we all loved Bright as Thyme, as with any version of Boys Over Flowers, we still struggled with “Second Lead Syndrome,” thanks to “Dew” Jirawat Sutivanichsak as Ren. Tu had great chemistry with both actors too!
So, if you were disappointed, wishing for more moments between Gorya and Ren, now have an alternate ending of sorts…
K-Pop girl group (G)I-DLE recently released the English song “I DO” as a collaboration with American mass media company 88rising for EP titled HEAT, their first full English project.
A couple of weeks later, they gifted us another music video for “I DO,” called I DO: A Love Story in Bangkok. This time, it stars Tu and Dew as high school sweethearts.
It features many cute moments of the two together until… another girl enters the picture. Later, we see Tu’s character crying to Dew’s character, and a breakup is implied.
That doesn’t mean they didn’t end up together, though. By the end of the MV, we see them grown up, out of high school, reunited, and he offers her his headphones.
Fans of F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers were especially excited about the onscreen reunion of Tu and Dew. Many commented that it was Ren and Gorya in a parallel universe.
Others were excited for Tu to star in a K-Pop group’s MV, knowing that she herself is a K-Pop fan. She was actually the president of a K-Pop fan club in school! Tu is still a K-Pop fan today, and she stans NCT.
If you want to see more of Tu and Dew’s phenomenal onscreen chemistry, you can watch GMMTV‘s Magic of Zero.
