SEVENTEEN has yet again captivated audiences through their latest tour “FOLLOW” in Seoul!
From July 21 to 22, SEVENTEEN heralds the start of their “FOLLOW” tour at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, marking their first world tour in approximately one year and one month since their third world tour “BE THE SUN.”
On the first day of the concert, SEVENTEEN kick-started the tour with a bang, starting with their most-recent title track “Super,” followed by “DON QUIXOTE” and “CLAP” ahead of their opening remarks.
During introductions, the SEVENTEEN members took turns greeting fans—both live and online attendees—and expressing their heartfelt excitement to return with a new concert in Seoul.
In addition to Jun showing off his solo track “PSYCHO” and Wonwoo dancing to NewJeans’ “Super Shy,” the SEVENTEEN members shared their anticipation for the concert. Jeonghan amped up the crowd by announcing that he needed energy from the fans, commenting, “In order to have fun, we worked hard to prepare for the concert. This setlist is no joke. The members are going to take you all along for an exciting ride, but I need you all to bring me along with your energy.”
The members didn’t forget to update fans on Seungkwan’s well-being following his temporary hiatus from activities due to health reasons. Mingyu elaborated, “Seungkwan is resting well to the extent that he is getting in his 10 thousand steps per day.” The members also thoughtfully gave Seungkwan shoutouts throughout the concert, even revealing that he was with them backstage.
Following their performances of “Don’t Wanna Cry,” “F*ck My Life,” and “THANKS,” the members transitioned into unit performances, highlighting new songs from their most-recent album “FML.” Starting with Vocal Team’s “Dust” and “Pinwheel,” Performance Team went on to perform “HIGHLIGHT” and “I Don’t Understand But I Luv U,” and Hip Hop Team wrapped up with “Back it up” and “Fire.” In between performances, the members did not hold back on praising each other for their stellar performances.
Afterwards, SEVENTEEN took to the stage with a festival-like atmosphere to perform their numerous hit tracks including “HOME;RUN,” “Left & Right,” “BEAUTIFUL,” and “Adore U.”
In addition to “April shower”—a performance that Seungkwan wanted to showcase—SEVENTEEN further impressed with fan-favorites including “Kidult,” “Anyone,” and “Good to Me.” Rounding out the jam-packed set list, the members brought even more explosive energy to the set with their performance of their fourth full-length album title track “HOT.”
With fans screaming for an encore, SEVENTEEN delivered with “Run to you” and “To you,” and the audience also reciprocated with their own performance of “Campfire,” surprising SEVENTEEN with a sweet and touching event.
Ahead of their final remarks, SEVENTEEN did a brief impromptu medley of songs they wished they could have performed including “Love Letter,” “Rock with you,” “Ready to love,” “I can’t run away,” “Drift Away,” “Holiday,” and “Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day.”
Hoshi began to wrap up by sharing that if they had a larger concert venue, he would want to perform for CARATs (SEVENTEEN’s official fan club) every week, while Wonwoo spread positive vibes by saying, “Let’s live enjoyably together and have fun.”
Joshua gave a shoutout to online fans, adding, “I’m so ecstatic to hold a concert at such a large venue. It’s all because of you guys. We will continue to show lots of good music and performances,” and DK similarly expressed Joshua’s sentiment of feeling relieved to see so many people smiling and laughing at the concert. The8 further reassured CARATs who could not attend today’s concert that there will be opportunities to meet again in the future, saying, “We will always be here.”
Mingyu expressed his desires to give strength to fans—sharing that he also gains strength by looking at the members—while Vernon remarked, “I’d like to say thank you to everyone who came out tonight and who are streaming online.” Jeonghan conveyed his happiness to see CARATs enjoying themselves at the concert, concluding, “Let’s all be happy together.”
Woozi explained that while performing “Adore U,” he wondered if SEVENTEEN’s younger selves would have imagined such a successful future, adding, “Thank you for gifting us such a grand view.” Jun shared, “Our last concert was called ‘BE THE SUN,’ and I think I’ve found my sun,” sweetly naming fans to be his sun. S.Coups explained how SEVENTEEN completely changed the initially planned setlist because the group was ambitious and wanted to show fans even more, also adding his hopes for fans to be healthy in both body and in mind. Last but not least, Dino concluded, “If you want us to, we will run to you, and if you all are searching for us, we will continue to be here.”
The concert reached a climax with SEVENTEEN’s performance of “HIT,” which segued into their famous never-ending encore track “VERY NICE,” leaving fans cheering passionately for SEVENTEEN and wishing for one more reiteration of the iconic chorus.
After wrapping up two nights of the “FOLLOW” tour in Seoul, SEVENTEEN will go on to greet audiences with their “FOLLOW” concerts through a dome tour across five cities in Japan, starting with Tokyo Dome on September 6 and 7, followed by Belluna Dome in Saitama on November 23 and 24, Vantelin Dome Nagoya on December 2 and 3, Kyocera Dome in Osaka on December 7, 9, and 10, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 16 and17.
