aespa’s “MY WORLD” is the group’s steadiest album yet on the Billboard 200!
Last week, aespa became the fastest K-pop girl group in history to land two albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 when “MY WORLD” debuted at No. 9.
Although aespa’s “MY WORLD” was originally released in Korea and on digital platforms back on May 8, the mini album had a delayed CD release in the United States—meaning that “MY WORLD” was only physically released stateside on June 30, though its songs have been available for download and streaming in the United States since May. As a result, the mini album’s debut on the U.S. charts came nearly two months after its initial release.
For the week ending on July 22, “MY WORLD” successfully remained on the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week at No. 61—marking aespa’s highest ranking yet for an album in its second week on the chart.
“MY WORLD” also stayed strong at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 3 on the Tastemaker Albums chart, and No. 4 on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart in its second week.
Meanwhile, aespa charted at No. 46 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking their eighth overall week on the chart. aespa is currently the K-pop girl group with the fourth most cumulative weeks on the Artist 100, following TWICE, BLACKPINK, and FIFTY FIFTY.
Finally, aespa’s title track “Spicy” spent its 10th consecutive week on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 108.
Congratulations to aespa!
