Celebrities’ lives are undoubtedly filled with struggles despite the glamorous and glitz. Unfortunately, sometimes this can result in risky and career-threatening behaviors, like in the case of the veteran actress who showed up drunk for an interview.
Actress Kim Ji Soo made her acting debut in 1992, appearing in the TV drama Female Detective 8080. Throughout the 90s, she continued to take roles in tv programs, winning a Daesang for her role in See and See Again.
In 2005, she took her first film role in This Charming Girl and continued to rise in popularity, appearing in variety programs and several music videos.
In 2018, the actress was cast in Intimate Strangers alongside Yoo Hae Jin, Cho Jin Woong, and Yum Jung Ah. The film was highly anticipation, and because of this, several interviews took place before the movie was released.
One of the interviews was scheduled at 10 am on October 17, but Kim Ji Soo was surprisingly absent. When she arrived 40 minutes late, reporters were surprised to notice that the actress was drunk.
According to reports, the actress apologized for being tardy but was too drunk to keep her eyes open properly. When asked if she was feeling okay, Kim Ji Soo said she had a long night out the day before but was fine.
“Yes, [I’m intoxicated]. Does that upset you? I can still respond, so go ahead and ask. Our dinner yesterday ended late. We ended up drinking until late in the night while talking about our hardships.”

After only ten minutes, the interview was stopped, and a manager led the star out. Shortly after, the actress issued an apology, expressing regret for her actions. This was also not her first drinking-related issue — in 2000 and 2010, the actress got into car accidents while driving under the influence.
Following the film’s release, the actress seemed to go on a short hiatus, not appearing in another work until the 2020 MBC drama 365: Repeat The Year. Since then, she has only appeared in one other piece in 2021 but signed with IOK Company in November 2022.
Based on her Instagram activity, it seems the actress might have returned to filming, sharing a photo of herself on a film set.
