There’s something about the atmosphere of a gray, rainy day that’s just so calming. Especially if you’re indoors and you can just listen to the raindrops hitting the windows—it’s so soothing! Here are nine K-pop tracks that perfectly capture this mood and can make any rainy day just a little bit better.
With light, smooth vocals and a slight jazz-inspired influence, “Fairy of Shampoo” by TXT feels like a song that’s pretty unique in the K-pop industry. It’s not so slow that it’s boring, but it’s the perfect addition to a rainy day because it doesn’t have any heavy electronic bass lines.
“REWIND” from TWICE’s 2021 “Formula of Love” album is the epitome of rainy day vibes. It has sort of a nostalgic sound to it with a softer back track and the gorgeous, siren-like vocals that TWICE is known for. It’s an underrated B-side for sure, but it’s so worth a listen!
A pre-release single from 2020, “Mixtape : On Track” is nothing short of rainy-day perfection. The low, calm rap lines meld perfectly with the fresh vocals, creating a song that’s just so easy to listen to. It might not be Stray Kids’ usual style, but the group pulls it off so well!
An ethereal track with the vocals to match, “In My Dreams” from Red Velvet’s 2022 mini album is so lovely to listen to! It’s powerful enough to capture your attention but not so strong that it’s overpowering. It’s the kind of song that Red Velvet really rocks!
“Imperfect love” has a little bit of a rock-inspired sound combined with stellar vocals that SEVENTEEN is known for. The group’s vocal team really brought their all to this track, and it’s everything you could ask for from a rainy-day song that’s calming and cool but not boring.
Another song with a rock-inspired sound, “YOUNG LUV” from STAYC’s 2022 EP is totally singable but soothing at the same time. The vocals are the perfect fit for the track, and the rap section isn’t jarring at all. It’s the perfect mix between the best that rock has to offer with a bedroom pop style.
YG Entertainment tends to be known for a groovy hip hop style, but iKON proves that they have tons of versatility when it comes to sound! Released in 2021, “Why Why Why” is a perfect rainy-day track. With a chorus that’s easy to listen to and a rap section that adds a unique twist, it’s a great song.
A B-side from LE SSERAFIM’s second mini album, “Impurities” has a lo-fi track and smooth vocals that make it a great song for a rainy day indoors. The chill sound of this song is also perfect if you want to keep it on in the background because it won’t be too distracting.
A collaboration track between three incredible artists, “Closer” is from BTS’s leader RM’s most recent solo release “Indigo.” It’s the kind of song that you can listen to over and over again thanks to the cool bedroom pop vocals and rhythmic rap sections. It’s just too good!
